Solution for Yahoo Messenger Virus

I’ve been wondering why some of my yahoo messenger friends are sending me messages containing a link to a website that has cool pics. Well, it wasn’t long that I’ve found out that the message or link was a virus and was sent by the virus itself. This virus is really spreading all over the YM community. When infected, the virus propagates by sending messages to your friends (without your control or knowledge) containing the same link to the virus. When you ever encounter messages from your friends that contain links, be sure to ask him first if it is a safe site. This virus is very powerful and be able to control your Yahoo Messenger.

Here is a pretty good solution for that virus:

1.) Click “Start” then “Run”

2.) Copy and Paste the following:

REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableRegistryTools /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

3.) Copy and Paste also the following:

REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

4.) Kill the svhost32.exe process from your task manager and delete all svhost32.exe files from your computer and processes

SQL Injection: What is it?

The need for stronger and more secure web pages is now the trend of the IT industry. Still, many websites have a vulnerability that they do not notice. This happens when the programmer or developer of the site is timid enough to strengthen the site’s security. The simple hack that I am going to discuss is the SQL injection. SQL injection is a type of hack that attacks directly the back-end of the system, which is its database. SQL injection is usually done during login or when the system accepts inputs.

So how does it work? SQL injection works by treating the login text field as a query. For example, the username text field, which accepts inputs for the username of the user, is being manipulated to work as a hacked query. The core of SQL injection is the syntax of the query that can access the login security system. The aim is to replace the regular username input into a continuation of a query that will tell the system that the login is true.

A typical query for a login system of a site is:

SELECT id

FROM login

WHERE username = ‘$username’ AND password = ‘$password’

If applied with SQL injection (Username: ‘ OR 1=1- - ,Password: ‘ OR 1=1- -), the query now looks like this:

SELECT id

FROM login

WHERE username = ‘’ OR 1=1- -‘ AND password = ‘’ OR 1=1- -‘

You can observe that the query will always be true (because of the SQL injection) which enables the hacker to go inside the system without having the need for a valid account. A typical hacker can easily bypass the login security system through SQL injection. SQL injection is only valid with SQL statements. It might now work with other site for they already have a countermeasure on this. I learned that one way of preventing this type of attack is by input masking or filtering. Allowing only alphanumeric inputs on your text fields will effectively prevent SQL injection.

There are other forms of SQL injection that you can find on the net. I hope that the above article will let you become aware of some basic vulnerabilities of your website. This article is for educational purpose only and not for malicious activities.

Chicosci Mp3 Downloads

One of my most favorite band of all time is “ChicoSci” short for “Chico Science” which is also a name of popular Brazilian band. ChicoSci is a Manila-based band that plays Rock and Semi-Rock melodic music. The original members of ChicoSci are Miguel Chavez, Mong Alcaraz, Carlos Calderon, and Joel Salvador. Later, they acquired guitarist Sonny Baquisal and long-time friend Eugene Esquivias to further strengthen the quality of their music. Chicosci first won an Interschool battle of the band contest which gave way for their band to grow and be known.

Chicosci’s first two albums was Revenge of the Giant Robot (2000) and Method of Breathing (2002). Their carrer single “A Promise” was likely accepted by music listeners and they gained more popularity with their songs. What I really like about their songs is that each song has a deeper meaning that has full of emotions of which I can relate to. Most of their songs are “Emo” type but with a twist like having a Vampiric atmosphere. Chicosci is one of the best Rock bands of the new generation and it keeps getting better.

Learning how to download torrents

When you go to these sites, search for your desired file to download. Among the results, find and choose the one that has the most seeds or the ones who has better comments.
